Today along with Antrim Councillor Alan Lawther I welcomed the creation of 242 new jobs at the Crumlin based bio technology firm Randox. The news jobs are part of a £15.8 million investment by the company.

I said: "This is excellent news and I would like to pass on my congratulations to Dr Peter Fitzgerald and his team who are doing a marvellous job.

"Randox is a brilliant example of a locally grown company who are competing on the world stage.

Cllr Alan Lawther, who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry, said: "These are high quality jobs that will further increase the amount of goods that are exported all over the world from Northern Ireland. Randox is a well respected global company and I hope these new jobs will enable them to reach even more markets in more countries."
