Ford criticises performance of tribal parties after Leaders' debate9.25.00am GMT Fri 23rd Apr 2010
Alliance Leader David Ford has criticised the four party leaders following the UTV Leaders' debate saying it was stale and showed how tribal politics is failing Northern Ireland. David Ford said: "Is it any surprise that this debate was very uninspiring because it only reflected one side of politics here, the tribal side? "The four party leaders appeared bereft of ideas and reverted to type in getting back to their tired old arguments. "The debate lacked the presence of a party like Alliance that is willing to take on those presenting stale dogma. "Would you want any of these people representing Northern Ireland after their poor performances in this debate? Its clear that Alliance is the only real alternative to the tribal parties' politics of failure." ENDS
