"It is an honour for Antrim to host a GAA Centre of Excellence, I am very pleased that this planning application has been approved."

Alliance Leader David Ford has welcomed news that the planning application for a GAA Centre of Excellence in Antrim has been given approval. The centre will be based in the Dunsilly area of Antrim and David Ford said the announcement provides recognition of the positive work of the St Comgall's club.

David Ford said: "This great news underpins excellent work done by St Comgall's GAA club in not only the sporting field but in community relations too.

"This scheme will provide an exciting new centre for the community and will be very positive for the health and wellbeing of young people in the area.

"It is also an honour for Antrim as a town to host a GAA Centre of Excellence and I am very pleased that this planning application has been approved."
