"People who carry out attacks like this are relics of the past."

Alliance Leader David Ford has condemned an attack on Minister Conor Murphy's home as an attack on democracy.

David Ford said: "This was a despicable attack on the home of someone who is serving the people of Northern Ireland.

"This incident was an attack on democracy. A few evil elements are trying to destabilise the political institutions here, but they will not succeed.

"People who carry out attacks like this are relics of the past who need to realise that their actions will simply strengthen the resolve of a people sick of violence and intimidation.

"Anyone who has any information that might help bring the perpetrators of this attack to justice, must contact the police immediately."
