Ford welcomes Electoral Office clinic in Antrim Civic Centre5.30.00pm GMT Mon 20th Apr 2009
David Ford MLA has welcomed the news that the Area Electoral Office is running a Registration and Electoral ID 'clinic' in Antrim Civic Centre on Thursday 7 May from 2pm until 6pm. David Ford MLA said: "With the European Election on 4 June, it is essential that all who are over the age of 18, and are entitled to be on the register of electors are able to be so. The Electoral ID card is a useful card that will allow anyone without a Driving Licence, Passport or other accepted ID at Polling Stations. "I welcome the news that people in the Antrim Borough area who find it difficult to travel to our Area Electoral Office in Newtownabbey will be able to attend in Antrim Civic Centre to aid their participation in democracy. I encourage as many people as possible, who are not on the Electoral Register currently to attend on Thursday 7 May."
