Ford - Wrightbus contract great for local economy

David Ford MLA welcomed Wrightbus's £11 million contract to build 57 buses for VDL Groep in Eindhoven.

Alliance South Antrim MLA David Ford has welcomed the £11 million contract for Wrightbus to build 57 buses for Dutch company VDL Groep in Eindhoven.

David Ford MLA said: "This contract is further prove of the international recognition that Wrightbus has achieved. It will safeguard a lot of jobs in the mid Antrim area.

"It is good to see a locally owned company continuing to do well.

"Wrightbus is one of the leading companies in Northern Ireland having already achieved multi million pound contacts with companies through out these islands in the past year.

"I hope that the Wrightbus team have continued success in the future."
