Alliance Leader condemns Antrim petrol bomb attack

10.02.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 17th Sep 2007

Alliance Leader David Ford has slammed those involved in last night's petrol bomb attack on a house in Antrim. The attack in Dromain Drive at 10.20pm left the garden alight and one window broken. A 31-year-old man was arrested after the incident.

The South Antrim MLA said:"This was a very sinister attack which harks back to the darkest days of the troubles.

"The sheer disregard for human safety shown in this incident is extremely worrying. This attack must have been very traumatic for the occupants of the house.

"I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the attack to contact police immediately."
