Alliance announces new Assembly spokespersons

Commenting on the announcement of Alliance Assembly Spokespersons, Party Leader David Ford said: "The Executive will be facing a very strong test from us - we are up for challenge - I hope they are up to it.

"We will provide strong and constructive opposition. The Executive must prove to local people that they are capable of providing coherent and constructive governance.

" We will hold the Executive to account and keep the pressure on them at every turn, to ensure that the right decisions are made for everyone in Northern Ireland."

Within the United Community Group, Dr Kieran Deeny will also be Spokesperson on Health, Social Services and Public Safety and Brian Wilson will speak on Regional Development issues.
